"The idea behind the hair is about something that once was, but is no longer. So the hair was once very perfect, but now, because she's been lost in the forest, it's become weathered and more worn," said the stylist working on behalf of John Masters Organics. "It's a very fine line, because we wanted it to still have a sense of elegance and beauty but also look slightly disheveled."

Step 1: On damp hair, apply volumizing foam at the roots.
Step 2: Spray hair with John Masters Organics Sea Mist Salt Spray with Lavender.
Step 3: Blow-dry on high heat while scrunching the hair in an upward motion.
Pro tip: Try not to use a brush or comb. You want this to feel as natural as possible. Not to mention, the messier the better.
Step 5: Using your hands, pull down on the ponytail and rough up the front a little to make the look a bit more unkempt.
Step 6: Set the look with hairspray.
