As soon as I saw these shorts, I immediately thought of Nina in Father of the Bride. I've seen the movie about a zillion times... to say I am obsessed is an understatement. These shorts look like an updated version of the classic high waisted, pleated shorts that were very 'in' at the time of FOTB's release.
I don't love shorts because they have such a casual vibe, plus I spend most of my time at work, so I don't get much wear out of shorts. However, I love that these are silk-- it's a dressier touch and I feel very appropriate going out in them. Not to mention, they're very different than all of my chino shorts and Callahans.
