Oatmeal with apple and walnuts. Usually I eat it with cranberries but we were out so I substituted apple. It was pretty tasty, but next time I will add a little bit of cinnamon to it. I prefer the cranberries but the apple is not bad in oatmeal!
Turkey kielbasa with fried onions and red peppers on a toasted roll, and a spinach and romaine salad with ranch dressing. Yummy... easy and tasty.
Strawberry Slab pie... so easy and so delicious. I used a Betty Crocker recipe and you can find it here. I made some recipe changes... surprised, aren'tyou? I did not use the box pie crust, I used one of the pre-made ones that you buy in the refrigerator section of the grocery store. I was making it for just the two of us so I used just one crust instead of two and folded it in half. I couldn't get it rolled into a rectangle so it was more of a semi-circle. For the rest of the pie I halved the ingredients. It made two rather large servings for each of us. When I make it again I will make the full recipe because it is so good two servings just weren't enough... and I wonder why my weight loss isn't going as well as planned! But it's fruit, right?? That's good for you... (smile)
That's all the food photos that I took this week. I keep promising myself that I'm going to do better capturing food photos for this post but somehow it all gets away from me. It's a good thing I don't try and make a living doing this... I'd be fired!
